A Cosmic Kind of Love
Planning a wedding can be difficult, but it can also lead to unlikely places and relationships, as it does for the main characters in this star-crossed novel. Hallie Goodman is an event planner who mainly helps plan other individuals’ weddings. One of her clients sends her information and video files, including video files of her ex-boyfriend—who has since passed away—who served on the International Space Station.
Goodman falls in love with the ex’s goofy and irreverent messages and it is not too long before Goodman is sending her own messages to a long deactivated NASA email account. Christopher Ortiz, the brother of the ex-boyfriend Goodman is emailing, is sent the emails and messages Goodman has been sending to his brother’s email account. Ortiz begins to fall in love with Goodman and begins to hesitantly respond to her messages.
In the end, it is a story about overcoming loss, finding love in the stars, and going on a journey together. Readers should find this book heart-warming and fairly enjoyable. Goodman is the prototypical hard-working and hard-driving female lead, while Ortiz plays the role beautifully as the grieving family member looking for a fresh start.
