All God’s Critters Sing Allelu
God has made amazing things. He has made animals, insects, and humans. This beautiful book explores how all the critters God has made sing his praises, whether it be birds, bugs, or cows.
The text is short but effective. The rhythm and rhyme are expertly crafted. The repetition is fun and perfect for little ones to repeat over and over again. I appreciated some of the higher-level words describing what the animal is doing. For example, “The horses whicker as they graze.” It’s a great book for kids to learn animals sounds.
The illustrations are amazing! I love the cartoony feel with the bright and colorful colors. This book feels like springtime to me and just has a wonderful warmness to it. I thought the page with the cows singing was particularly cute. I enjoyed the perspective of the little girl looking at all the insects singing in the grass. The text and illustrations matched up so well with each other.
I recommend this book for children from birth to kindergarten. My five-year-old child enjoyed this one a lot.
