Beasts of the Frozen Sun (The Frozen Sun Saga)
Every child of Glasnith learns the last words of Aillira, the god-gifted mortal whose doomed love affair sparked a war of gods and men, and Lira of clan Stone knows the story better than most. As a descendant of Aillira and god gifted in her own right, she has the power to read people’s souls, to see someone’s true essence with the touch of her hand. When a golden-haired warrior, Reyker, washes up on the shore of her homeland, where they form a bond forbidden by their clans – facing the start of what would only be a battle for both theirs, and everyone’s lives.
I have to say it, Beasts of the Frozen Sun has an absolutely amazing, and complex world – from the mythology to the clans, and to everything in between, I couldn’t help but find myself ensnared, and my interest would only grow with the aspect of forbidden love. Another thing that I immensely loved about Beasts of the Frozen Sun was the way the characters were written – from the main characters to the background characters, I couldn’t help but notice that each and every character was well written, and enjoyable – something that I find enjoyable in the midst of all the action, fast-paced story, and ever-changing world.
