Jack Reacher is at it again in Better Off Dead written by Lee Child and his younger brother Andrew. Jack is just moseying along one day when he sees a woman in a Jeep crash into a tree. Only she didn’t really crash. And Jack being Jack goes to see if she is okay. Little does he know, she has set a trap to attract some really bad guys. Guys whom she knows know where her missing twin brother is. Jack Reacher, meet Michaela Fenton, ex-military. Somehow Jack finds himself drawn into helping Michaela find her brother, Michael. This means finding the main man behind a scandalous project. Dendocker is up to something and Reacher and Fenton are hoping that his goons lead them right to him.
As with all the other Jack Reacher novels, this one is action-packed and moves quickly. Every move is described with Jack dodging bullets and throwing punches. Fans of Jack Reacher will find this one easy to read in one sitting. The plot is simple, yet engaging, and the characters all have true grit. Recommended to fans of Patterson, Baldacci, and the like.
