How often do people stand over their recycling and trash bins trying to decide what goes where? Most of us want to do the right thing, but it is hard to know what is recyclable and what isn’t. How recycling works is important to know and is included. Some of the things we think can be recycled not only cannot but might get stuck in the machinery and slow everything down or cause even more pollution by being in the mix. This wonderful little book clearly shows the expertise of author Jennie Romer, and will give readers confidence in the information. She not only knows her stuff, but she disseminates the information in straightforward language, organized in a way that makes it easy to access and use. If a reader looks up an item, as soon as the reader reaches the page, the reader knows by the color-coded page edge what level of recyclability the item has. If the item is made of several materials, some of which can be recycled, the illustrated text makes that simple to understand. The inclusion of information on so many items makes this an invaluable resource. Don’t miss it.
