Gabriel Allon has risen through the ranks of Israeli intelligence to become the head of operations. A ruthless but charismatic terrorist with the name of Saladin is behind ISIS attacks in the United States and London. The attacks are surgical and brutal in their efficiency. Gabriel has been close to catching Saladin before. The head of MI6 is on the hot seat as well. Questions are raised as to how the intelligence authorities could miss terrorists operating in their backyard. A former soldier turned assassin named Christopher Keller is summoned to find answers. Keller uses contacts in the Corsican underworld, which turn up a name. Soon, MI6, Mossad, and French Intelligence are running an operation to infiltrate and neutralize Saladin. The pieces are in place to form a formidable operation against ISIS. But will they be able to foil the next plot in time?

Daniel Silva continues his epic tale of Gabriel Allon in grand fashion. House of Spies is chock-full of action, suspense, drama, and dark humor. Every character brings something to the table–the villains are detestable, the heroes flawed but endearing. A fine spy novel that fits with the times. A great and breezy read for anytime!
