Not even the richest men in the world can stave off what is happening to our planet. Sure, people say if there is global warming, why is it snowing? Well, for one thing, the polar ice caps are melting. This book is a primer on the world’s resources and how we have used and abused them and ignored the consequences. Now it is up to all of us to remedy the situation. Gates thinks 2030 is much too optimistic as a current timeline to turn things in the right direction. He thinks mitigation is possible by 2050. Even so, he tells us in this book that there is not much time.
