I Know You: A Novel of Suspense

Wonderfully written and thought-out, I Know You is the story about a woman named Taylor who moves to England to her husband’s hometown from Santa Monica, California. Jake, Taylor’s husband is away on business for much of the week and Taylor, who is expecting their first child, wants so badly to make some new friends. Jake teases her that Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are her best friends. Taylor joins a local walking group and meets some new people. Simon and Anna are both people she enjoys walking with although Simon is a little odd. She takes to Anna right away because she is new to the area and pregnant as well, and the two become friends almost instantly.

What I really enjoyed about this book is that several of the chapters are written from the point-of-view of a mystery character who despises a pregnant lady who likes social media. The author does a great job in keeping the person’s identity a secret, and even when you narrow it down, it could be either Taylor or Anna whom the mystery person is talking about because they are both pregnant. This book was a little predictable but kept me on my toes waiting for the plot to peak. A fun read that will keep any lover of suspense entertained.
