Ignited

At the age of seventeen, Jura would have never imagined that she would be the most powerful person in the Republic of the Sand Sea. The Republic is ruled by the council, which consists of thirteen members, each one representing one of the seven ruling kingdoms and the six ruling merchants, with each member being more powerful than the next one. So Jura, being the First member, is more powerful than the rest of the council members. She fills in for her father, who is being controlled by someone who placed a blood chain on his wrist. Her mission now is double: maintain the peace within the Republic and save her father before it’s too late. Ignited is an easy read, including multiple POV’s that might confuse the reader in the beginning, but in the end everything works out perfectly. As a character, Jura is a strong female lead who is also a teenager. She’s emotionally fragile, and, apart from saving the world, she also has to save her heart from being broken or attached to the wrong person. Forbidden love, magic, betrayal, and dragons make Ignited a must-read and the beginning of an exciting series for YA readers!
