Just One Look couldn’t hurt, could it? That’s the question Cassie asks herself at her temp job going through correspondence for the big law firm she works at. She’s supposed to be looking for emails that deal with a fraud suit, but the personal emails between Forest and his wife end up on her files. She’s supposed to ignore them, however, after a quick glance, she decides this couple is perfect compared to her broken life. She begins to obsess over them, learning everything about them and attempting to insert herself into their lives. She soon finds out that everyone has secrets and some will go to great lengths to protect them.

I enjoyed reading this stalker story from the stalker’s point of view. It was refreshing to see how, from their perspective, what they’re doing makes sense. No one in this story was very likable or redeemable, and yet it was still enjoyable. I absolutely devoured it, liking it more than I thought I would. I couldn’t put it down. It does remind me somewhat of the You series. I loved how the book displays things aren’t always what they appear. It always looks greener on the other side.
