King Bullet: A Sandman Slim Novel (Sandman Slim, 12)

We rated this book:

James Stark, aka Sandman Slim, is back. Los Angeles has come to a standstill. No garbage services, shops are closing, and the hospitals are full. This is all due to a new virus running loose through the city. This virus either leaves you alone, kills you, or makes you crazy. The crazies mutilate themselves and do worse to everyone they come across. Everything is going to hell, and Stark traces it all back to one man, King Bullet. Police, National Guard, and even the Sub Rosa––L.A.’s magical community––cannot stop the King. It now falls on the shoulders of one man to save the city, Sandman Slim.

King Bullet is the latest Sandman Slim novel by Richard Kadry. If you have enjoyed Kadry’s previous twelve novels, then you’ll love this one. Kadry keeps it real with a plotline that reflects current happenings. If you’re feeling the stress of masking up and social distancing, so are Stark and his friends. This novel is like every great action movie with car chases, fight scenes, and giant explosions, all wrapped up in one fantastic book. King Bullet is by far the craziest monster that Sandman Slim has yet had to face. And remember, if the monster that kills monsters can do it, so can you. Wear a mask!
