Although it isn’t exactly pocket-sized, (it’s wider than a cell phone) it would fit in a purse or coat pocket, and it provides little snippets of quotes from former First Lady Michelle Obama. Quotes are arranged by topic, including: women, family, success, life, and more. Each quote is cited with the source and date, which helps to provide a little context to some of the less obvious quotations.

Not all of the quotes are especially unique and moving, such as, “We as parents are their most important role models.” But any fans of Michelle Obama, or strong women in general, should enjoy looking through this book.

This is a nice little gift book to have on hand for those hard days when you need a reminder that classy, intelligent women are out there. It can serve as a little pick-me-up part of your day. It also serves as a brief record of Michelle Obama’s term as First Lady.
