Record of Grancrest War, Vol. 1

Action adventure manga generally follows a certain type of storyline, with not much deviation. Most of the differences are found in the quality of the artwork and that is about it.

In this series, from the creator of the similar Record of the Lodoss War, we follow two young people who are going to get caught up in a series of events and have to fight for survival in an unfriendly world. Young mage Siluca Meletes dreams of helping to end Chaos, but tragedy strikes early on when two noble elites come together to end their pointless feuding and instead are killed by Chaos. Now Siluca must go to her assigned noble when she runs into a young knight Theo. They work together to help end the pointless squabbling and bring an end to the Chaos.

Like many manga series of the same type, the young lady is beautiful and the man is fairly generic looking. Plus, he is not always that smart as Siluca must explain pretty much everything to him. This is fairly standard and average, not much to really make it stand out from all the others like it.
