Rough Justice
Rough Justic is a tag-along novel to the rest of the Cainsville series by Kelley Armstrong. On its own, this book was detailed enough that, since I haven’t read any of the books in the Cainsville series, I could still follow along and enjoy the story instead of being confused throughout the majority of the story. After reading this story, it makes me very interested in going back and reading the other books in the series because the characters were very likable in their own ways, and I feel that I would get a lot more out of them from a longer book. The length of this book worked very well on its own compared to its longer companions; the story started and we learned the premise quickly, then the story played out, and within every chapter there was action or something meaningful happening. I enjoyed reading about a normal mystery with an investigation, but also with supernatural beings with a “moral” sense of judgement toward others. Grammatically, the story was very clean and flowed very well; however, there was one typo in the last sentence.
