Adele Rafferty has reached a crossroads in her young life. She gained fame while acting on a soap opera in her native Ireland. Her celebrity status led to other acting opportunities, including the role in a well received film. However, her fifteen minutes of fame began to wane when she opted out of the soap opera. An incident on a movie set has marked her as uncastable. She now labors in a Hollywood-land adjacent motel, hoping for that break that seems elusive. A phone call from overseas soon has her hopes rekindled with a starring role being dangled. The details are sketchy, secrecy is urged. When she arrives, Adele quickly learns there are some roles worth rejecting as mysterious texts urge her to flee and the crew seems to be unprofessional at best. Adele just may be in over her head.

Run Time is a psychological thriller that pulls no punches in its intensity. The latest from Catherine Ryan Howard (56 Days, 2021) will leave readers on the edge of their seats with rapt attention until the story’s satisfying conclusion. A story within a story, Run Time excels as a cerebral novel that will leave many sleepless after reading.
