Seven Dirty Secrets

We rated this book:

It’s Cleo’s birthday. It is also two days before the one-year anniversary of her abusive boyfriend, Declan, drowning in the river on her birthday trip. Cleo gets out of the shower to find a little white box with a green bow on it. When she opens it, she finds a piece of paper with a poem on it. A clue to the start of a scavenger hunt. But how did someone get into her bathroom while she was showering? As Cleo works with her best friend Hope and older brother Connor to find out who is behind the scavenger hunt, the clues point to Declan still being alive. His body was never found, after all. Has he come back for her?

This book was very engaging with the way the clues were planted. Cleo and her friends are smart and do a great job with it despite the fact that the situation is all too creepy. The twist at the end was predictable but nevertheless made sense. Perfect for fans of suspense and mystery.
