Roselie Stratton is not your average Regency romance heroine. She’s a secret agent, taking on an alias to discover plots against the crown. Her alias, Asteria, can easily infiltrate the seediest parts of London and can make a quick escape if need be.

Brody Rimswell suspects Roselie’s covert activities but doesn’t have enough evidence to confront her. Once he does, he discovers he’s been smitten with Roselie’s alias, and a compromising situation forces Brody and Roselie to marry. Brody thinks he can put an end to Roselie’s covert nighttime activities. Roselie begs to differ.

Brody and Roselie’s relationship undergoes some growing pains, but they ultimately discover that they work better together. Brody is better undercover in the seedier parts of town, and Roselie’s strength is being able to participate in the salacious gossip of the town without suspicion.

Six Impossible Things marries a romance novel with a convoluted thriller. The ways in which Roselie grates on Brody’s nerves serve as comic relief. Readers will delight in the ways Roselie surpasses Brody in skill and competence. Six Impossible Things is an entertaining adventure to enjoy in the waning days of summer.
