Slashing Through the Snow: A Christmas Tree Farm Mystery
In an idyllic Maine Town, Holly White finds herself entangled in another murder mystery. Reindeer Games Christmas Tree Farm is now a bed and breakfast with the addition of the new inn, which may or may not have been built by Santa Claus himself. During the holiday bustle of daily events and wrapping donated toys, a guest is found murdered. A close family friend is the main suspect but Holly knows there is no way her beloved friend Cookie is guilty. Holly, aided by her friends, digs into the mystery, much to the chagrin of her boyfriend Sherriff Evan Gray. The ever-growing suspect list makes the task of clearing her friend’s name seem impossible.
There is nothing like a good cozy to snuggle up with when the weather turns cold and this one did not disappoint. The characters are vibrant and endearing and the mystery is multifaceted and well written. The only thing that bothered me was there is no way Holly had time for all the things she did in a day, but I was able to suspend reality and become engrossed in the mystery. A good stand-alone novel, I would recommend it to anyone who loves cozies.
