The Favor: A Novel

The Favor is the latest fantastic thriller from Nicci French. This book will crawl under your skin as you read it. The creepy characters who all seem off in the head and the main character, Jude, who gets sucked into the shenanigans. Over eleven years ago, Jude fell for a boy named Liam. They were only around eighteen years old and were in a horrible car wreck with two other friends. After that, Jude and Liam went their separate ways. Present day, Liam shows up to Jude’s work asking for a favor. He wants her to meet him at a cottage and he will let her know there what the favor is. Only, Liam never makes it to the cottage. He is murdered. Jude finds herself in a tangled web of Liam’s current friends and family. His girlfriend Danny is really unstable and furthermore, they have a one-year-old son together named Alfie.

This book will make you want to scream at Jude to get away from the weirdos all living with Danny and Alfie in one big house. There are also so many great secrets that are revealed about each character that will make you gasp. This book is suspenseful and very entertaining.
