Summer loves the annual family get-together at her husband’s parents’ home in rural Pennsylvania. Summer has always gotten along well with her in-laws and cherishes this time with them. It’s a huge surprise when her husband’s brother brings home his latest girlfriend, whom he’s known for two months, and drops the bomb that they’re engaged. Normally, that wouldn’t be a problem, except Summer knows this woman who is claiming to have no knowledge of her and the lies keep piling on. Soon after, a family member dies a suspicious death and no one will believe Summer about The Fiancée. She starts to do some digging on her own but soon discovers that maybe this perfect family she’s a part of may not be so perfect after all.

This is a perfect addition to your summer book list. You will completely devour this while sitting by the pool on your vacation. While no one was perfect in this story, it definitely sounded like a lifestyle I would love to live, even if I have to dodge murderers. I’ve never read anything by this author before, but after this, I will be checking out more of her work.
