The Life and Death of Rose Doucette
Dylan Fisher is a PI in Dallas, working cases for his friend Mia, a lawyer. Out of the blue, he gets a call from his ex-wife, Rose, to meet and discuss a case. Rose wants to hire him to look into a death that’s been ruled a suicide. Dylan doubts it’s anything else, but when he notices a car tailing Rose, he follows. He watches her be murdered in cold blood, then gets knocked out. His prints are on the gun so everyone is trying to pin the murder on him. Dylan will have to dig into The Life and Death of Rose Doucette to figure out what could have possibly gotten her killed. He discovers his wife had way more secrets than he would have ever guessed.
A compelling read that will keep you guessing until the very end. The author keeps you on the edge of your seat, with fast-paced action and fascinating characters. Everything about this screams private investigator, down to how Dylan narrates the story and the case all comes together. If you enjoy thrillers, especially PI noir thrillers, then you will want to check this book out.
