The Minders
In the not-too-distant future, a group of clandestine hackers have learned how to steal all the British government’s top secret intelligence. The British prime minister and his team of cybersecurity experts come up with an unprecedented solution: turn all the information into injectable storage and seal it in the minds of five specially selected individuals. These five citizens, known as “the Minders,” are selected via a clickbait ad offering a jigsaw puzzle in exchange for a new life. The Minders, all common people with their own struggles, soon realize that their second chance may be deadly.
As it is set in the same world as John Marrs’ The One and The Passengers, readers wishing to avoid spoilers may want to read the first two novels before plunging into The Minders. Like his previous works, Marrs launches readers into a world with seemingly simple characters who embark on a unique and thrilling adventure. The Minders is the perfect poolside read, keeping you so engrossed that you might just forget that you’ve been reading long past the time when you should have put on that extra layer of sunscreen.
