The Romance Recipe

The Romance Recipe is a delectable queer romance with fantastic late-bloomer and bisexual representation. Amy, the owner of Amy and May’s restaurant, has everything under control: the dwindling finances of her restaurant, the houseplants populating her kitchen windowsill, and most importantly, her completely professional feelings for her gorgeous ex-reality star head chef.

Sophie is just trying to put her life back together after her stint on a cooking reality show and her imploded relationship with her ex-fiancé but is finding it extremely difficult while simultaneously battling a blossoming attraction for her overbearing boss. When a new reality cooking show promises the kind of exposure that might save the struggling restaurant, Sophie has to make some difficult decisions that bring her uncomfortably close to a past she’s trying to forget in order to save the future she’s working towards.

Barrett somehow makes the reality TV trope that’s really popular in the genre right now believable and engaging. If you liked Delilah Green Doesn’t Care or No Rings Attached, you’ll love rooting for Amy and Sophie in this steamy romance.
