The Ultimate Sherlock Holmes Puzzle Book: Solve Over 140 Puzzles from His Most Famous Cases (Puzzlecraft, 9)
This puzzle book is a lot of fun. Overall, the puzzles are tricky enough to make you work at them a little, but not so difficult that they are ever really frustrating. Some are very simple, whereas others will take a bit more working out, which keeps it interesting. If you are familiar with the Sherlock Holmes stories, it will be easier to solve some of the puzzles, because each case follows one of the stories quite closely. To make the game a little more fun, you could choose to try the puzzle before reading the story, so you don’t really know what is going to happen. If you get stuck, the answers are in the back.
This book is probably meant to be used by one individual, but you could certainly work with a group of a few people; that way, you could bring more perspectives to bear and increase your enjoyment. There are logic puzzles, cryptics, visual puzzles, and lots more, so there is something for everyone. After solving each case, there is one final puzzle that uses clues from each case to solve. This book really keeps you engaged as it puts you inside the world of Sherlock Holmes.
