When You Give an Imp a Penny

We rated this book:

When You Give An Imp A Penny is a beautifully written and illustrated story for children revolving around completing different tasks after receiving a penny. In a story akin to If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, a puckish Imp has a madcap adventure, causing more problems as he goes along then, eventually, helps with. Even with everything that he breaks, he still tries repeatedly to make up for it and clean up after himself. On top of the wonderful storytelling, Abigail Larson does a beautiful job illustrating the characters and world of the Imp, creating a fantastic world in which the Imp lives. Much like the story of the mouse, the book feels like an instant classic for anyone that is a fan of the fantasy genre and wants to introduce it to their children.

To test it, I read the book to my daughter. She giggled and smiled at the pages, she loved the colors and design of the characters, definitely a cute story that is a great read for any child. Thank you Henry, Josh, and Harrison Herz for creating a book I will read over and over to her, and creating a memory that she will always have with me.
