Witches, Princesses, and Women at Arms: Erotic Lesbian Fairy Tales
Cleis Press anthologies are always a sinful joy to read. Whether they are quick or magical, they take you on a ride to enjoyment. This anthology gives us fairy tale-like settings with a lesbian twist. Whether it is a wood nymph being seduced by a farmer’s daughter, a princess who dons men’s armor to fight and falls for a damsel in distress, or a whole variety of other characters, it’s the same theme: they are in fairy tale settings with witches, fairies, damsels in distress, and dashing heroes. And at the end of each story the two characters find their passion and their love for one another; and there’s always a happy ending.
Like any collection of short stories by many authors, people will have their favorites and ones they do not quite like. But a collection like this is perfect because you can skip around from story to story; no need to read them in order. Cleis in the past has put out steamy anthologies, and I hope they continue to do so in the future.
