A Deadly Twist (Chief Inspector Andreas Kaldis Mysteries Book 11)
When a reporter goes missing on the Greek Island of Naxos, Chief Inspector Andreas Kaldis sends his detective Yianni Kouros to help investigate her disappearance. He will also need to find out more about the body found at the bottom of a cliff. Is it the reporter or someone else? When detective Kouros is targeted, Kaldis arrives on the island to take over the investigation. The journalist was working on a story about tourism but, she’d also meet a well-known hacker who had a story of his own to tell. So Kaldis has to find out more about whom she met on the island. But it’s a tight-knit community he’s dealing with, and as soon as he thinks he has a handle on things, a new twist to the case pops up.
Mr. Siger has created an interesting police procedural that highlights the history and contemporary problems of Greek politics and society. I enjoyed getting to know his characters and the dilemmas they faced throughout the book. A Deadly Twist is full of local flavor as well as suspense and enough twists and turns to keep mystery readers happily turning the pages. I can’t wait to read some of the other books in this series.
