If you are looking for a good read with a solid story, Kaleidoscope will fill the bill. From Oregon to India and onto Manhattan, two sisters navigate the success of their immigrant family and their relationship to each other. There is only one year apart between the tall and accomplished Morgan and the diminutive Riley. Morgan is the star of the family’s fortune as she designs the apparel line that is brought from India. Their contact in India is a wealthy merchant whose partnership with the family has changed their fortunes.

From a mom and pop grocery store, the family and their investor have created Kaleidoscope, a multi-national clothing line that is over-priced and fabulously successful. The younger sister, Riley, has chosen academics over the family business. She eschews the wealth and prefers to live modestly in manner and lifestyle. While Riley has admired the journalist James Greenly, Morgan is the sister who becomes his partner. But there is so much more to this story and the secrets hidden within the family.
