Kyle Whalen, a part-time cook in Los Angeles, and his lover, Elise, struggle with a demanding job market and the stress of unemployment. From drugs and depression to life-threatening health issues, they find themselves almost losing all they hold dear. However, Kyle’s troubles have only just begun, as his story takes a darker turn when he encounters a cult with weird claims about time travel.

He must figure out a way to get back to his love and a semblance of normal life as he faces lengthy experiments, confusing dreams, time travel claims, and the possibility of visiting other dimensions. Follow Kyle’s evocative, engrossing tale as he experiences a plethora of chaotic events along with the thrills of passionate love. In Lonely Riders, Michael D. Dennis captures readers with a mind-bending tale that offers a dreamy sensation and several addictive, suspenseful twists.

Michael’s carefully chosen words entrance the reader with an artistic, lyrical atmosphere that’s consistently delivered throughout the book. The book inspired me to be more romantic in my relationship with poetic lines like, “Her name tickled my tongue when I said it, and my mind could only draw on the smell and taste of caramel.” The story’s strangely satisfying twists further add to its immersive allure. Whether Kyle is dealing with the uncertainty of fighting a beast or slipping between reality and dreams, the tale keeps its audience hooked to its mysterious pages and eager to unravel more.

Whalen’s journey brings him to face several amazing characters. The story, however, appears to focus on its protagonist by offering a first-person viewpoint that allows us to form a deep connection with him. His expressions are observatory and reflective of a confusing, unstable world. I was completely engrossed by his well-communicated feeling of confusion and his determination to reunite with his lover and save humanity.

Lonely Riders is best suited for adults since it includes detailed sensual scenes and some acts of violence. Though it includes discussions of other dimensions and time travel, it’s not your typical sci-fi book with intricate science information. It also incorporates some lightly explored fantasy themes like beasts and predestination. Additionally, the plot comprises themes that reflect real, normal life and that a great part of the audience is likely to be familiar with, including family, fatherhood, pregnancy, unemployment, depression, psychological disorder, deceit, and more.

I couldn’t get enough of Michael’s masterpiece. It’s like a dream or what I imagine traveling between dimensions would feel like. This suspense-filled and sensational book is the perfect story for escaping reality and feeling strongly for an irresistible, passionate protagonist. Prepare to have your mind blown into colorful, multidimensional fragments.
