Something Happened in Our Park: Standing Together After Gun Violence
In, Something Happened in Our Park: Standing Together After Gun Violence Miles hears that his cousin, Keisha, got shot. This makes him angry and sad. Miles wants to move away to another place where there are no guns, but his parents refuse to move away. Can Miles and his family work hard and make their community a safer place to live?
I like this book because it was about standing up and stopping violence. I wish I’d gotten to know the characters more. The Illustrations in this picture book were colorful and fun. I recommend this book for five to eight-year-olds. Overall, this book was an important and emotional book to read!
