Take the Honey and Run (A Bee Keeping Mystery)
Take the Honey and Run is a cozy murder mystery settled in the small town of Humble Hills, Colorado. Bailey comes back home from Denver after finding out her grandmother, a beekeeper and honey maker, has a broken foot. Things go amiss as soon as Bailey arrives with her daughter Daisy. First, she almost runs into a bunch of cows on the road, then the mayor, turns up dead. Unfortunately, her grandmother becomes a main suspect when they find the mayor had been given honey on a biscuit. And not just any honey, Bailey’d grandmother’s hot honey. The mayor was allergic to honey! To clear her grandmother’s name, Bailey must do a little detective work.
This book has humor and romance thrown in at the perfect moments. Bailey’s aunts and grandmother, otherwise known as The Hive, are adorable, snarky, and hilarious. I loved how Bailey connects with her teen live interest, Sawyer, who also happens to be the Sheriff.
This book is perfect for anyone who loves a sweet, cozy murder mystery complete with delicious recipes at the end.
