An Island Wedding

We rated this book:

Author Jenny Colgan returns once again to the tiny island between Scotland and Norway called Mure. This time, island native Flora Mackenzie is set to finally marry her longtime love, Joel. His only request? They have a “sweetheart wedding” that effectively excludes the entire island of people who know Flora and completely expect to attend. In the meantime, Olivia Mathieson, a social media sensation engaged to a wealthy fiance, wants to return home to Mure after a decade’s absence and have a circus of a wedding at the hotel Flora runs on Flora’s wedding day. At the same time, Flora’s best friend, Lorna, is attempting to navigate a complicated, secret relationship with Syrian refugee and island doctor Saif.

An Island Wedding is the fifth book in Colgan’s Mure series. She again delivers a light, entertaining story that makes the perfect vacation read. Those who know Colgan’s characters will be glad to return to their world. New readers should be prepared to so enjoy this heartwarming story that they may find themselves searching for Colgan’s earlier Mure novels.
