Little Fairy Can’t Sleep
Little Fairy is awake. She feels that there is something different about the night. So do the Sandman, foxes, and elves she encounters. Little Fairy meets a moth prince who takes her to the source of the magic in the air.
The illustrations are amazing. The detail is exquisite. There is a magical ambiance to the book that just draws you into this beautiful world. I honestly would purchase this book just for the illustrations. I felt like I was right there, going to all the places that Little Fairy visited.
The text is pretty good. I think it just needed a bit more. The book is shorter than many picture books. It told the story well, but I think could have had a few more pages. I felt as though the ending was rushed. I would have loved to see more of the midsummer party or know if the moth prince and Little Fairy become friends.
I recommend this for anyone who loves fairy tales and magic. My four year old loved the fairy and the beautiful pictures.
