The Lost and The Found
Faith has lived in the shadow of her older sister for years, ever since Laurel was abducted right from their front lawn. She has watched her parents wilt throughout the years with every false lead and every fallen hope. Then, thirteen years later, Laurel shows up on the front porch of their old home. At first, Faith loves having her back and manages to squash those feelings of hurt and neglect. But as Laurel takes over Faith’s family and friends, Faith reaches her boiling point and hurls some hurtful words at her sister. When Faith later confronts Laurel, she faces a truth greater than expected, which when unwound may pull the fabric of their lives apart one strand at a time. Dark and emotional, readers will sympathize with Faith as she is brushed to the side more than once because of Laurel’s needs and wants. As the story changes from hope and excitement to hurt and anger, the glimpse at what is to come is just out of reach, but when the final pages come, the twists may give some readers whip lash. Amazing and enthralling, those who loved Dead to You by Lisa McMann will love this more – it is just incredible.
