All Eden wants–and needs–is a way to get away. Away from her small town, away from her mother’s legacy, away from her own reputation, away to a place where she can get the education she needs. Eden has worked hard to get to the top of her high school graduating class, and now she’s pinning her hopes on getting her school’s endorsement for a prestigious scholarship. But her focus might get derailed by Ash, her main competition, a boy who suddenly seems to have taken an interest in her. Between Ash and Mundy, the new girl who won’t let Eden’s reputation get in the way of friendship, Eden is discovering a new sweetness in life.

Julia Day’s new novel, The Possibility of Somewhere, is teen drama at its finest. It’s got romance, friendship, academic pressures, parental strife, hope, and despair. The entire story is told from Eden’s point of view, and she is a realistic narrator, even if readers sometimes get frustrated by the things she says and the decisions she makes. There is just enough indecision and angst to keep readers hooked, and everyone will be ultimately pleased by the ending.
