The Seven Year Slip
Clementine West is a book publicist in New York City who is about to land a big promotion. Her publishing house focuses on food and travel, the latter of which reminds her of her wanderlust days traveling with her recently deceased aunt, Analea. Clementine inherits her aunt’s apartment, but living there brings back too many memories of their happier times and makes it hard to cope with Analea’s sudden death. One day, Clementine awakes to a stranger in her new apartment, and soon discovers she has stepped back in time seven years. While reeling from this realization, Clementine soon falls hard for Iwan, though they live in parallel worlds.
The Seven Year Slip was the perfect follow up to The Dead Romantics, which I adored. Ashley Poston comes through with another heartfelt novel that was such a delight to read. I adored Clementine and Iwan, and I hoped that their romance would prevail through the changes in time. It was so fun to read about the careers of a book publicist and a chef, and how their worlds collided. The dialogue was perfect and I loved all of the characters. I highly recommend this sweet yet satisfying book! I didn’t want it to end!
