Wings Unseen

Vesperi’s chance to prove herself to her father arrives when she kills the most recent man to court her after she discovers he’s a Lanserium spy. Meanwhile, Janto awaits for the day he can marry his beloved Serra, but before the wedding can happen he must travel to the island of Braven to complete a competition. As Serra grieves the death of her brother, she’s offered the chance to go study with the Brotherhood. Their stories are separate at the start but cross over as each character dives into their own journey and finds their individual strengths. Janto’s time on the island is delightful as he bonds with the other men there and finds who he is in order to determine the ruler he’ll someday be. Vesperi has a manipulative and strong-willed personality but uses that to take her life into her own hands. Fate and prophecy play an important role as each thread perfectly joins together to reveal a surprising outcome.
